Me in Blue is a multidisciplinary dance-theatre production in which movement, sound, text, and live video intersect. The work examines the embodied impact of war and ongoing societal unrest.
In Me in Blue we immerse ourselves in the final moments of Virginia Woolf's life in a delicate solo performance directed by German director Andreas Denk and performed by Netherlands-based dancer and choreographer Dorit Weintal. It is a poignant symphony of loneliness, based on the play by author Peter Verburgt, which invites us to let go of our burdens and rise above the turmoil of existence in order to strive for harmony.

Set on an empty stage, a solo dancer navigates pain, tension, and resilience. Through a dialogue with live cameras, reality is continuously reframed and transformed. Real-time video manipulation creates multiple visual layers, in which the dancer’s present actions are interwoven with pre-recorded images of memory and imagined futures.
The performance explores discomfort not only as a disruptive force, but also as a potential space for transformation and empowerment. By merging choreography and multimedia, Me in Blue offers an intimate reflection on how external conflict reshapes the inner landscape of the body and mind.
