Musician, composer and photographer

 

He spent his adolescence in Rome, studying the works of Skriabin, Janacek, Faure’ and Satie while playing guitar in some post-punk bands and listening to anything available around him, especially electronic music.

He studied piano in different stages of his life and finally got a degree in composition for movie soundtrack at the Regia Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna.

In 2005 he moved to the Netherlands and since then he engaged in  different forms of art namely movies, installations, theater and particularly contemporary dance. He has been collaborating with different choreographers amongst others Dorit Weintal -

Faido Dance Company in Poetry with no words, The Inhabitant, composition for video clips of Faido Dance Theatre of Masters of the village, Bitneinu, A Rabbit Monologue, Corridor 60 seconds film, Washing machine 60 seconds film, and since 2015 he has been part of Pretext team from Faido Dance Company - the artistic crew standing behind Pretext project, where live cinema, dance and science stand in dialogue to create a new performative form of theater. This collaboration started in October 2015 at PAF residency, St.Erme (Fr) where he created music and film for the piece, and continued in Amsterdam 2016 OT301 Faido residency, Torino Caos festival in March 2016, Glasslaven residency Norway in April 2016, Oostblock theater Amsterdam in May 2016, Biella International interdisciplinary festival/Stalker Theater in September 2016. And he is involved in creation of the coming staged on the project during 2017.

 

In 2011 he won a prize as “Best Soundtrack” at the Documenta Film Festival for the documentary “(R)esistenza”.

 

Since 2015 he has collaborated also with Dogwolf and Helder Saebra (2015), performed at Trezart International Straatkunstfestival (BE),  with collaborated with Alioune Diagne, Ron Bunzl story telling, with Mojra Vogelnik-Skerlj and Jasper Dzuki Jelen, performed at Krokus festival, with Judith Nab/Theater Espace for the installation “Mijn huis, de rest van de wereld en daar buiten”, with Gabriella Maiorino in “Cinematic.2-ballata”. Made music for “Crosstown III” Crosstown-Den Haag, performed in “Mijn huis, de rest van de wereld en daar buiten”

at Kroller Muller Museum (NL), made music for “Through the eyes of my city” by Kalpana Raghuramann, performed in Esplanade-Theaters on the bay (Singapore), music for the series “Young Blood instant composition series” at Bart invites Amsterdam (NL).
