“This Solo is a pretex for a performance about observation, perspective and the big question: What's going on? “

Drawn inspiration from science, the Solo seeks to unearth through dance and multimedia our need to observe and be observed, and asks what builds up consciousness, that sense of one's personal and collective identity, while experimenting new perfromative forms. Live cinema and live photography are edited during the performance to create a surreal portrait that stems from personal and cultural backgrounds.

The project is developed through different art and dance residencies in Europe namely, Le Hublot multimedia centre Nice (Fr), Officine Caos Festival / Stalker Teatro Torino (It), Biella international performing arts festival (It), Glasslaven Arts Center (No), Amsterdam Pleintheater (Nl). In Glasslaven Arts Center, dorit presented the dance film, 'Pretext's Journey', documenting the journey of the protagonist. The film was created in collaboration with La Boite company (Fr) and was screened at the inauguration of Glasslaven Arts Center with the presence of her Majesty, the queen of Norway, Sonja van Noorwegen.
