Dorit Weintal | South Korea International Dance  Tour - THE BODY AS A VEHICLE OF MEMORY AND TRANSFORMATION -  7–20 May

In May 2026, Dorit Weintal, Dutch-based choreographer and dancer & Stichting Dofai, with her organizational partner, will present work in a four-city tour across South Korea, performing at the Tongyeong, Busan, Jeju, and Seoul International Improvisation Dance Festivals.

The performances and accompanying workshops are part of The Body as a Vehicle of Memory and Transformation, a dance project exploring instant composition as a rigorous choreographic practice within defined thematic, philosophical, and technical frameworks.

This tour, realized in collaboration with the International Performing Arts Project (iPAP) South Korea, builds on Dorit Weintal’s earlier appearances at leading Korean festivals. It strengthens long-term artistic exchange and enhances the visibility of European contemporary dance in South Korea. The works were produced by the hosting festivals in collaboration with Faido Dance Company and Dorit Weintal, and include Beten – Food for Thought (Seoul), Bitneinu and Rasheinu (Busan International Dance Festival), Angel (Seoul International Dance Festival), and Master of the Village (Korea National University of Arts production).
