Dorit Weintal: International Dance Improvisation Tour – South Korea, 8–19 May
In May 2026, Dorit Weintal, Dutch-based choreographer and dancer & Stichting Dofai, with her organizational partner, will present work in a four-city tour across South Korea, performing at the Tongyeong, Busan, Jeju, and Seoul International Improvisation Dance Festivals.
The performances and accompanying workshops are part of The Body as a Vehicle of Memory and Transformation, a research-based project exploring instant composition as a rigorous choreographic practice within defined thematic, philosophical, and technical frameworks.
This tour, in collaboration with the International Performing Arts Project (iPAP) South Korea, builds on Dorit Weintal’s previous performances at major Korean festivals, fostering long-term artistic exchange and contributing to the visibility of European contemporary dance in South Korea.
