Beten - food for thought
The belly or the gut is conceived by neurogastronomists as ‘the second brain’;
Embedded in the wall of the gut, the enteric nervous system (ENS) controls digestion and plays an important role in our physical and mental well-being; It helps us sense environmental threats, and then influences our response. Thus, how do we formulate a thought; what are the dynamics engaged in A process or what is the nature of this 'digestion' ?
The performance Beten (belly in Hebrew) explores this notion through composition and auricular landscape.
